Unit 9: Waitangi Day

1. The Waitangi Day gathering will be held in

Waitangi Auckland Gisborne Hamilton

2. Many Māori people will go there to

protest have fun meet each other learn about the Treaty

3. There will be

drama and kapa haka performances sports matches speeches by kaumatua and kuia crafts for children

4. Children can

swim in the pool walk in the bush play rugby and cricket go to beach

5. At night-time, people

go home party all night sleep in tents sleep at the marae
