Joining NZSLTA

Most specialists (e.g. teachers, doctors, lawyers) belong to a professional association to support each other and share information. So do we!

What is NZSLTA?

We have the New Zealand Sign Language Teachers Association (NZSLTA).  NZSLTA is a national organisation for NZSL teachers and tutors.  Its aim is to promote the teaching of NZSL to the general public and ensure high quality and standards of teaching.

Why should I join?

Don’t be a cowboy and keep NZSL teaching to yourself.  Let's make our group strong.  All NZSL teachers are expected to be an NZSLTA member to support NZSLTA's work and become a registered NZSL teacher.  In return, you get many benefits, such as accessing this cool website and NZSL teaching resources, discounts to NZSL teachers conferences and networking with others about NZSL teaching. Click here to fill a membership form.

Sharing Experiences

Watch these videos of NZSL teachers. They'll tell you how NZSLTA has benefitted them.
